‘The Last Five Years’ meets Nashville Honky Tonk: Oil & Whiskey is a country rock dramedy about two ex-lovers who meet for a drink and relive their entire relationship over a couple rounds of whiskey. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and remember why: you DON'T TEXT YOUR EX.

Oil & Whiskey is going on a WORLD TOUR this year through Nashville, NYC, Edinburgh, and London. They begin their tour in June as one of two shows performing in New Musical Theater Nashville’s First Stage Showcase (In partnership with ASCAP). NYC will consist of popular Honky Tonk and off-Broadway spots, including iconic venues such as The Bitter End and The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Later this summer, Oil & Whiskey will make its international premiere at the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, before going on to a limited run at the Off West End Old Red Lion Pub Theatre in London.

Oil & Whiskey is the debut musical for producer, musician, and songwriter, Kit Nolan. The Nashville based multi-instrumentalist has toured the world performing for millions as the Music Director for Lindsey Stirling and has played as a session musician for Robbie Williams and One Direction. He is joined by award-winning playwright and storyteller, Dax Wiley. Wiley has written and produced musicals across the U.S.A. such as New York’s first immersive musical, The Limbo Lounge (2017-2018), and Good Fishermen Know A Lot About Sex (2019), a powerful drama performed on theatre row in Los Angeles about the dangers of opioid abuse in America.

Oil & Whiskey welcomes Yuval Benit as Director and Choreographer, Nile Helgerud as Costume Designer, Taylor "Twirlwind" Thayer as Line Dance Captain, Jonah Barnett as Music Superviser, Cody Rahn (NYC), Ben Sparaco (Nashville), and Sam Weston (London) as Music Directors, Corenlius Versa as Teddy, Juliet Perel as Zelda, Sarah Giulianti as Bree, and Levi Penley as Ray The Bartender.

Every Oil & Whiskey Show will start with a new Honky Tonk Opening act featuring favorites such as local country stars, Darlin'; American Idol Finalist, Sam Woolf; and The Crystal Cowboy: Cornelius Versa.
