Fanfiction meets Rocky Horror in this 20th anniversary reading of the infamous fanfic, My Immortal! Join us in celebrating the masterpiece we know and love while raising money for queer theater and trans people, featuring typo-ridden live captions, a costume contest, interactive games, and more!

Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way is a seventeen-year-old goth vampire witch in her seventh year at Hogwarts, tasked with saving the world (and her bf Draco) from Voldymort and the Death Deelers. 

This interactive fundraiser reading will be presented on March 3rd at 7PM at Brooklyn Art Haus, on the eve of My Immortal’s 20th anniversary. The reading is adapted by Emma Mueller, directed by Em Hausmann, and produced by Valerie Peter Chong & Emma Mueller. The cast includes BT Hayes, Caroline Payton Parker, Jamie Lowenstein, Jesse Hartley, Camila Calderón, and Nova Gomez.

This abridged reading of the original fanfiction text is a fundraiser for the play “My Immortal: A Fanfiction of A Fanfiction”, a speculative history of the fanfiction’s authors while they were writing it. A portion of the event proceeds will also be donated to G.L.I.T.S, a Black trans-led advocacy & direct services organization based in NYC. “My Immortal: A Fanfiction of A Fanfiction” received a developmental reading in November 2025 at The Tank and donated all profits to the Trans Mentor Project, supported by the Sam and Devorah Foundation for Transgender Youth.
