The Cutting Room Presents: LIVE AT THE FILLMORE Performing Eat A Peach by The Allman Brothers In Its EntiretyIn 1972 The Allman Brothers released their double album Eat a Peach. The title is derived from a quote by then band leader Duane Allman: "You can't help the revolution, because there's just evolution ... Every time I'm in Georgia, I eat a peach for peace". The album is significant in many ways, among them is that it is the group's final album to feature Duane Allman after he was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in 1971. Also notable is the albums mix of live (from their famous Fillmore East shows) and studio recordings. Iconic, classic rock songs "Mountain Jam" at 30 minutes long, "Melissa" and "Blue Sky" are all featured on the ever popular certified platinum album. The band LIVE AT THE FILLMORE is a favorite at NYC's The Cutting Room and is proud to perform Eat A Peach. As per band leader Lou Maresca: "LIVE AT THE FILLMORE is the continuation of our devotion to recreating the music of the original Allman Brothers Band as it was performed in those early years before the untimely deaths of Duane and Berry Oakley and the departure of Dickey Betts. Those years were the "glory days" of the Allman Brothers Band.LIVE AT THE FILLMORE has been dubbed "The World's Greatest Tribute to The Allman Brothers Band by AXS-TV and has, for over a decade, performed the music of The Allman Brothers Band with the highest level of musicianship and authenticity. Over the years they have either performed with or had the blessing of all remaining members of the original Allman Brothers band. They have sold out concerts nationwide, performed alongside Southern Rock greats such as Molly Hatchett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special and more.
