In a world where survival of the fittest reigns supreme and high-achieving high school students kill to secure their class rank, no student is safe. Melody, the salutatorian of Johnson High School, is the only student who claims to have earned her rank without schemes or violence. But with the top five students placed in a pressure cooker leading up to the final rank announcement, Melody is forced to confront the question she’s avoided her whole life: What are you willing to do to survive?
