Fast Forward provides opportunities for choreographers working in all dance forms to workshop 25 – 35 min pieces on a shared bill curated around a theme.
In May, Fast Forward’s theme is ‘‘Dreams & Rituals.’’ Anabella Lenzu/DanceDrama will present Pachamama: Mother World. DoubleTake Dance will present Dreamscapes.
Pachamama: Mother World (Anabella Lenzu/DanceDrama)
Mother World is a new exploration of Dance Theatre as well as an anthropologic study into the male initiation rituals of the Selk’ nam (Onas), a subgroup of the Tehuelches tribe that inhabits the southern tip of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
Dreamscapes (DoubleTake Dance)
Dreamscapes explores how in our unconscious, the human mind pulls memories from real life and translates them into both amazing and terrifying ‘‘alternate endings.’’
