Through music and stories, The Brass Tacks - with their characteristic high energy and in-your-face performance style - will cover the most influential rock saxophone solos of this era including music by Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Louis Jordan, Ray Charles, and Fats Domino.

Danny Lipsitz is a bandleader, saxophone/woodwinds player, and composer. Performing in a variety of genres, Lipsitz has appeared around the world with artists like Ronnie Spector, Mark Hudson (Aerosmith, Ringo Starr, Ozzy Osbourne), Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge), Ginkgoa, The Avalon Jazz Band, The Hot Sardines, Lucky Chops Brass Band, The Losers Lounge, Chris Norton, and the Gordon Webster Swing Band. 

The Brass Tacks band plays a mishmash of traditional jazz, swing, and New Orleans music. They recently released their debut album entitled "Dead (or Live at Joe's Pub)" from their second sold out performance at the esteemed venue.
