The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW) is creating a sanctuary for human connection in an increasingly divided world. This free creative workshop series invites people from all walks of life – immigrants, young people, senior citizens, business professionals – to come together, share ideas in a safe creative space, and rediscover the deep sense of humanity that connects us all. No acting experience is needed.
Led by ATW's Artistic Director Thurman E. Scott, Creating Hope Through Our Stories emphasizes active participation, guiding us to engage, write, draw, reflect and share our stories and our visions of the future while developing storytelling skills. Each session combines writing exercises, guided discussion, and presentations. Whether you attend one session or join us for the entire series, you'll learn valuable creative techniques that give you fresh tools for self-expression while connecting with a diverse community of open-minded people.
