Chimney-holic
Created by Maiko Kikuchi
Chimney sweeping is his life’s work. That’s why he keeps making chimneys… Daydreams appear all of a sudden out of nowhere but you may realize they’ve just been lurking in your life. Puppeteer Maiko Kikuchi tries to catch those daydreams and drag them out in front of you by collaging sounds, objects and movements.

Ruby & Charlie
Created by Jessica Simon
Inspired by the soulful music of Ray Charles and using it as a backdrop for a pair of hearts in the 1950s, Ruby & Charlie combines love, death, disappointment, and swing dance. Developed in part at the O’Neill Puppetry Conference and The Freight with a grant from the Henson Foundation, Ruby & Charlie utilizes tabletop puppetry and a nonverbal narrative to illustrate the relationship highs and woes we all experience.

Marcel & Man Ray
Written by Sarah Grace Holcomb
A multi-media performance exploring the lifelong friendship of the Dada artists Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray. Dabbling in chess, sculpture, painting and photography, the two men helped shape an era of art that caused a sensation after the First World War. This performance is an excerpt from a developing full-length theatrical performance. This piece first premiered as part of St. Ann’s Warehouse’s annual puppet festival, Labapalooza, in January of 2016.

Presented as part of Puppet BloK!, a series dedicated to presenting ground-breaking new works of puppetry & other innovative forms of storytelling.
