Angst in A Cappella is the story of a young black male and his love affair with music told through his interpretation of the Grunge and Alternative music of the 90’s. He is faced with issues of identity when he transfers from his neighborhood school to the performing school downtown. This piece takes a look at race as it relates to youth in America while conjuring up great nostalgia through the familiar melodies.
