Awards were handed out for 14 categories and 2 special awards are announced by the Off-Broadway League for the Lucille Lortel Awards recognizing Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway.
Now in its 24th year, the Lortel Awards were handed out on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the "Off" Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis. The Lortel Recipients were lauded by lovely host,
