The series opens with a rare opportunity to hear the complete Etudes by Ligeti and Debussy. Ligeti’s 18 Etudes are not often performed in concert because of their technical challenges. Debussy’s 12 Etudes, dating from the end of his life, are also seldom heard in concert, Debussy himself having considered them ‘fiendishly difficult’. Join us for this wonderful experience of twentieth century piano virtuosity!
