SASY Presents Mean Girls: High School Version Featuring Local Student Talent and a Live Orchestra
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ANNANDALE, N.J. – Susie Ann's Stage for Youth (SASY), a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing summer theater opportunities for young performers, is proud to present Mean Girls: High School Version, a full-length musical featuring a live orchestra and an outstanding cast of local middle and high school students.
Performances will take place August 7 and 8 at 7:00 p.m. and August 9 at 2:00 p.m. at North Hunterdon High School, located at 1445 Route 31, Annandale, NJ.
Join Cady Heron as she navigates the ups and downs of high school with the help of Janis and Damian while facing off against the iconic Regina George and The Plastics. While Mean Girls: High School Version includes some PG-13 humor and themes, its unforgettable songs, high-energy choreography, and sharp wit have made it a Broadway favorite. Audiences can expect an entertaining, fast-paced production packed with humor, heart, and plenty of memorable moments.
The production showcases the incredible talent found throughout Hunterdon County and the surrounding area. Among the cast are students who have earned selection to the prestigious New Jersey All-State Choir and received Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award nominations for their performances in high school musicals. Their Broadway-level vocals, combined with the energy of a live orchestra, promises to deliver a high quality experience.
Founded to expand access to quality summer theater experiences, SASY provides students with the opportunity to continue developing their performing arts skills outside of the traditional school year while working alongside experienced directors, choreographers, musicians, and fellow performers.
"Our mission is to give young performers a place to grow, build friendships, and experience the excitement of a full-scale musical production," said Kate Emery, Founder and President of SASY. "We are incredibly proud of this talented cast and can't wait to share their hard work with our community."
