Having Our Say: the Delany Sisters' First 100 Years is the true-life story of two pioneering African American sisters, Sadie and Bessie Delany. Sadie became the first Black person permitted to teach Domestic Science at the high school level in the New York City Public Schools, while Bessie became the second Black woman to practice dentistry in New York State. The production features five-time AUDELCO Award-winning actress Richarda Abrams and Sharon Hope, known for Elsbeth and Dexter. Through firsthand memories and sharp wit, the show explores resilience, family, race, aging, and the power of storytelling.
