Alabama Story by Kenneth Jones blends fact and fiction to explore the clash between censorship and civil rights in the Jim Crow South. The drama centers on a librarian who goes head-to-head with a segregationist state senator, using the real 1958 children's book The Rabbits' Wedding by Garth Williams as both plot device and metaphor. A parallel story follows the renewed friendship between childhood friends, a white woman and an African-American man. The cast includes Emily Bonaria, Gary Glor, Dalton Gorden, V. Martinez, Mikey Miller, Julianna Santos, Daniel Saunders, and Karen Thornton as librarian Emily Wheelock Reed.
