In Her Place: Nashville Artists in the Twenty-First Century is an exhibition at the Frist Art Museum celebrating the significant impact of women artists in Nashville's visual arts scene. Opening on January 29, 2026, and running through April 26, 2026, the exhibition features nearly 100 works from 28 artists, including Alicia Henry, Shannon Cartier Lucy, and Karen Seapker. The exhibition is organized thematically, exploring concepts of place, memory, and identity through various mediums. Co-curated by Sai Clayton, Katie Delmez, and Shaun Giles, this showcase recognizes the vital contributions of women to Nashville’s cultural landscape.
