The Hendersonville Performing Arts Company's THE WIZARD OF OZ Begins Tonight
The Hendersonville Performing Arts Company Presents L. Frank Baum's The Wizard of Oz tonight, February 11th, through the 28th with performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00.
This award winning timeless musical features Dorothy Gale, portrayed by Maggie Redpath, of Kansas and her dog, Toto "Lucy Baker" as they travel through many adventures after being blown away in a tornado. Along the way, she meets The Scarecrow portrayed by Bakari Jamal King, The Tin Man, portrayed by Bryan Lelek and the Cowardly Lion, portrayed by Richard Ring, who join her on her journey to meet the Great and Powerful Oz, portrayed by Joe Brennan, where they are met with several nasty encounters with the Wicked Witch of the West, portrayed by Kym Sims. The Wizard of Oz is presented under the direction by Jill Dunlap. The Hendersonville Performing Arts Company is located in the City Square Shopping Center, 260 West Main St., Suite 204 in Hendersonville.
