School of Rock: Young Actors Edition, based on the hit Paramount movie written by Mike White with book by Julian Fellowes, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and new music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, follows Dewey Finn, a down-on-his-luck musician who fakes his way into a job as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There, he discovers his students are hiding serious musical talent, and what begins as a scheme to win the Battle of the Bands transforms into something more as he encourages them to pick up instruments, take risks, and break out of their carefully structured lives. The production runs August 13–15, 2027 at Duluth Playhouse at the NorShor Theatre.
