School of Rock: The Musical at Open Door Community Theatre

Based on the hilarious hit movie, this Andrew Lloyd Webber musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who earns a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There, he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. With14 new songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber and all of the original songs from the movie by Mike White, the show features a talented group of adults and kids who play their own instruments while stickin' it to the man! 

A portion of the proceeds from School of Rock will go to Hopewell Music Cooperative North! Their mission is to improve access to music education in North Minneapolis through affordable, inclusive, and engaging music programs.
