(10/01/2012) - For over two years now, The Penny Seats, Ann Arbor's new pre-professional repertory theatre company, have been entertaining local audiences under the mantra "making beautiful things from minimal resources." The group has staged three productions to date - "Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)" and "She Loves Me" at the West Park Band Shell and "What Corbin Knew" at Performance Network - in addition to a number of special performances, including 826 Michigan's annual "Five Bowls of Oatmeal" fundraiser. Next up, the group will partner with the Ann Arbor Senior Center for a cabaret show "From Broadway to the Huron River" as part of the Center's Cultural Arts Series.

Running from September 21 through October 14, the play depicts a tense political and psychologically complex story which confronts the audience with issues of justice and revenge, especially in relationship to the punishment of war criminals. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 pm, with Sunday performances beginning at 3 pm, and are presented at the Matrix Theatre located at 2730 Bagley in the heart of Detroit's Mexicantown.

The two were introduced by a friend of Rosen's, who wasn't able to make the wedding, as a result of the weather and warnings throughout all the boroughs. The BroadwayWorld.com News Desk stayed feverish all weekend while the couple said 'I Do', as news was coming fast about theatre cancellations, schedule changes and travel advisories in addition to all things that were happening in other parts of the country and the world, not affected by the Northeast's local weather.

Hear the story leading up to this monumental moment in Joel Gross's 'Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh,' which begins in previews on July 28 at Performance Network Theatre. This sexy drama, running through August 28, will feature Jill Dion, Drew Parker ('The Sins of Sor Juana') and Chelsea Sadler ('The Little Dog Laughed'), as Marie. It is directed by Shannon Ferrante.
