Island City Stage presents The Fantasticks, a newly reimagined production of the beloved musical that features an LGBTQ+ twist, marking its South Florida premiere. Directed by Andy Rogow, this version tells the story of two young gay men, Matt and Lewis, as they navigate love amidst a backdrop of familial deception. The cast includes Jonny Lee Jr. as Lewis, Kevin Hincapie as Matt, Jesse Luttrell as El Gallo, and Margot Moreland as Mildred, bringing fresh voices to a timeless narrative. The show runs from November 6 through November 24, 2024.
