Paper Cut at Island City Stage

Paper Cut, written by Andrew Rosendorf, is a dramatic look at the emotional toll of war. After rehabbing at Walter Reed from injuries caused by an IED explosion, Kyle, now an amputee, navigates the personal and emotional minefield of returning home. The play is a raw exploration of the physical and emotional toll on returning soldiers, focusing on the signature wound of the Afghanistan war: the loss of limbs. Kyle is a 26-year-old gay veteran dealing with PTSD and the emotional cost of war long after leaving the battlefield.
