The Area Stage Company is excited to announce that the musical PETER PAN JR, featuring one of the most beloved stories of all time, will open on December 6th at ASCs Riviera Theater in Coral Gables. The Los Angeles Times called this musical, A timeless musical theater masterpiece.PETER PAN JR is based on J.M. Barrie's classic tale with music adapted from the original Tony Award-winning Broadway score. Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. Featuring the iconic songs, "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up" and "Never Never Land, PETER PAN JR. is the perfect show for the child in all of us... who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up. It is a dream come true.ASCs own award-winning Associate Artistic Director Giancarlo Rodaz will direct the musical, having just received the prestigious 2019 Silver Palm award for his innovative direction of She Kills Monsters and The Wizard of Oz. PETER PAN JR will be performed by Area Stage Companys Stage II Conservatory students, with student actors ages 12 and up. The running time is 1 hour. Performances are on Fridays at 7:30 PM; Saturdays at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM; and Sundays at 5:00 PM, from Dec. 6 to Dec. 15, 2019.
