Riverside Theatre Announces 45th Anniversary Season

Maplewood Playhouse closes out their first season with the upbeat and funny musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee opening April 20th at the Kelsey Theater. Featuring a cast of award winning local talent and veteran actors who have appeared in productions all across South Florida, this is a show not to be missed.
MOAD MDC Presents 'Poetry And Jazz,' A Performance By Jack Hirschman

The Museum of Art and Design at Miami Dade College (MOAD MDC) in collaboration with the Miami Book Fair will present Poetry and Jazz, an evening of words and music with legendary American poet Jack Hirschman. Writer, editor, translator, musician, and political activist, Hirschman will perform with longtime collaborators, the Terni Jazz Orchestra Ensemble. Produced in collaboration with the Miami Book Fair, Poetry and Jazz will have one performance on Saturday, April 28 at 7 p.m. at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach. Admission is free.
MOAD MDC Hosts Miami-Native, Richard Blanco For An Evening Of POETRY ALONG THE BAY

Miami Dade College's (MDC) Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) will present Poetry Along the Bay, an evening on a cruise ship under the stars with celebrated Cuban American poet Richard Blanco. A multifaceted writer who grew up in Miami and the author of a number of books, Blanco memorably read one of his poems at Barack Obama's second presidential inauguration in 2013. Poetry Along the Bay will take place on board the boat the Miami Lady on Friday, April 27.  Boarding will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

'Til Sunday performed at the 2017 Hollywood Fringe festival where it was nominated for best solo show and most recently was the closing act at the 25th Anniversary of the Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival. Written by Nairoby Otero and directed by Michael D'Angora, 'Til Sunday is a one woman show that tackles what is means to be Cuban, what it means to be an immigrant, and ultimately, what it means to be American.

Their interactions run the gamut from wary to warm; confrontational to erotically charged. The play is a fictionalized account of the recovery process the playwright endured after a serious accident, but it is also the drama she was denied-the coming to terms with the person who hit her.
