Catchy melodies and tight harmonies were the cornerstones of 1950s and ’60s popular music. From the foundational sounds of Frankie Valli, The Imperials, The Platters, and The Belmonts, to their influence on Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, The Beach Boys, Pentatonix, and Maroon 5, doo wop has inspired some of the greatest music in American pop and rock history. TSO Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke joins The Doo Wop Project, comprised of the stars of Broadway megahit musicals Jersey Boys and Motown: The Musical, to deliver a retrospective you won’t want to miss!
