HOW I BECAME A PIRATE at Derby Dinner Playhouse

 AARRRGH!  Who wants to be a pirate?  Young Jeremy Jacob is recruited by Captain Braid Beard for a swashbuckling pirate adventure.  Join Jeremy as he goes on this wild journey on a pirate ship to bury treasure, all the while learning from the pirates, and winding up back in his own backyard.

This production is a musical adaptation based on the best-selling children’s book written by Melinda Long with illustrations by David Shannon.  The book, music, and lyrics for HOW I BECAME A PIRATE were written by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman.  Derby Dinner’s production is under the direction of Tina Jo Wallace and the cast will include Braxton Buege as Jeremy Jacob, Zach Burrell, Neill Robertson, Tasha Hatchett, Tony Milder, Chance Patrick, Tonilyn Hussey and Lem Jackson.

All public performances of HOW I BECAME A PIRATE feature a kid friendly menu and are one hour in length.  This production is most suitable for ages 3 - 12.
