Tierra Legacy, led by David Salas (son of co-founder Rudy Salas), performs at the First Annual Car Show and Community Festival at Cal State LA, where the original band Tierra first took the stage in the early 1970s. Tierra was a pioneering East Los Angeles band known for blending rock, pop, jazz, R&B, and salsa, earning national recognition in 1981 with the hit "Together," which reached No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following the deaths of founding brothers Rudy and Steve Salas, the Salas family formed Tierra Legacy to carry forward the band's sound and spirit, bringing together original and longtime members. The group recently released a new album, The Legacy Continues, executive produced by David Sandoval and Cal State LA alumnus Rafael Ventura.
