Enter The Solo Show SHOW—a nightly descent into the beautifully unhinged world of solo performance and the perfect palette cleanser for the Fringe-going experience. Come for the chaos; stay for the catharsis.

Each performance begins with a blank slate and a few audience suggestions and from there, veteran improviser Andl Sudik, accompanied by musical director JC Wright and special nightly guests(composer Alex Burke, singer Wes Perry, stand up Jamie Bliss among others,) create a completely original solo show on the spot.

The performance shapeshifts through styles ranging from autobiographical drama and surreal clown spectacle to mock celebrity biopic guided by you, the audience. The result is a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience that exists only in the moment it’s created.

Part homage, part satire, and entirely improvised, The Solo Show SHOW invites audiences to become collaborators in building the “perfect”* solo show in real time. What emerges along the way are unexpected turns, self awareness, kick-ass live music, and unapologetic dumb fun.

Created and performed by Sudik, a professional improviser with more than 20 years of experience and 15 years of international touring, the show doubles as both a love letter to solo performance and a playful skewering of the genre. When not teaching, performing, or traveling, Sudik also directs solo shows—making this project a bold (and possibly career-ending) act of comedic self-sabotage.
