On June 28th The Road to Freedom by Yolande Boyom directed by Billie King & Yolande Boyom will premiere as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2025 at Assistance League Theatre in Los Angeles. The event is presented by Lovy’s Angels Organization in collaboration with B. Angels Production and Blest Media.

The Road to Freedom is a theatrical re-adaptation of Yolande Boyom’s original docu-drama film, The Road to Freedom, which exposes the harrowing realities of human trafficking. Through raw storytelling and emotional truth, this production gives voice to the silenced and sheds light on a global crisis that often hides in plain sight.

This event is not just entertainment — it's a call to action. All proceeds and awareness raised will help support future outreach programs, survivor services, and prevention efforts through Lovy’s Angels Organization.

Yolande Boyom: (Executive/writer/Co-director/Lead) is a passionate filmmaker, writer, co-director, and lead actress of The Road to Freedom — a powerful docu-drama and stage play that exposes the harsh realities of human trafficking. She is the founder of Lovy’s Angels Organization, a nonprofit supporting victims and survivors, and B. Angels Production House, a media company dedicated to telling stories that inspire change and raise awareness about human exploitation. With a background in nursing and a Master’s degree in Social Work, Yolande has equipped herself with the tools to serve victims both physically and emotionally. Her life’s work is rooted in one mission: to fight human trafficking until every voice is heard and every life is free. Through storytelling, advocacy, and hands-on support, she is building a movement — one project, one rescue, one soul at a time.

Ester-Rose Diaz is a producer with over 15 years of experience in film and television, passionate about telling stories that connect and inspire. She’s worked on a range of projects, from docuseries to music videos, always striving to bring out the heart of every story.

Billie King (Writer, Director, and Playwright) is a visionary storyteller, seamlessly blending film and theater to tell stories that are as socially urgent as they are emotionally compelling. Based in Los Angeles, Billie is the writer and director of the upcoming film Rogue and curator of the anthology Echoes of Justice, a six-part cinematic journey spotlighting marginalized voices and themes of redemption and revenge. She is the creative force behind acclaimed stage productions including Brown Boy, Happy Home, and Billie: The Little General, known for weaving historical, cultural, and emotional truths into unforgettable theatrical experiences. A former platinum-selling music artist and bestselling author, Billie now leads Program Rewrite, a nonprofit using art to empower communities, and R.A.W Theater Group, a platform for trauma-informed storytelling. Through every project, Billie challenges the status quo with stories that inspire, provoke, and heal.

Natasha Whitaker (Producer ) is a Los Angeles-born filmmaker and co-founder of No Permit Productions, a low-budget production company she launched with a partner in 2018. Known for her resourceful approach and unwavering commitment to getting the job done—no matter the budget—Natasha has worked on a variety of independent film projects, including the short film Justified Homicide, where she served as production manager.

Trudynn Johnson (Producer/ Production Manager) : she is a dedicated Production Manager and Producer with experience across multiple creative projects. Known for her organizational excellence and passion for impactful storytelling, she is currently serving as both Production Manager and Producer for the stage play The Road to Freedom. Trudynn brings a tireless work ethic and deep commitment to every production she joins, believing that action holds the power to create real change. Her drive, precision, and heart for purpose-driven art make her an invaluable force behind the scenes.

Jyvhyshkarr Duclervil (Producer) is a creative strategist and founder of By Fire By Force Management. With over a decade of experience in media and tech, she blends business insight with creative leadership. She holds dual MBAs and certifications in PMP and ITILv4, driving impactful, cross-industry projects.

Blake Mitchell (Director of Photography) is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer with over 10 years of experience. He studied at the Los Angeles Film School, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in cinematography. His work includes the short film Justified Homicide, and he’s currently editing his first feature, Buford. Blake is also a partner in his own company, No Permit Productions, dedicated to telling powerful stories—no matter the budget.

Dr. Karika Austin is a visionary Writer, Producer, Director, and Creative Strategist with 20+ years of experience in film, TV, brand marketing, and business development. She has worked with Warner Bros., HBO, and Sony Pictures/Music, managing major campaigns and contributing to global franchises like Harry Potter, The Dark Knight, and The Matrix. Holding a Doctorate in Leadership, an MBA, and a BA in Communications, Dr. Austin is also the founder of several companies spanning entertainment, real estate, and family services.

Sir Anthony Kinniebrew (Production stage manager) is a former Soul Train dancer and a seasoned D.G.A. production stage manager and assistant director, with over 3,000 stage plays and live productions under his belt. His impressive career spans work on BET, NAACP Image Awards, Taste of Soul LA, major Hollywood studios, sitcoms, and fashion shows. He has collaborated with icons like Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Denzel Washington, Debbie Allen, and Beyonce. With deep gratitude to the Holy Spirit, Anthony continues to be blessed in his purpose-driven journey through the entertainment industry.

Kareen Brown is a Jamaican-born Writer, Director, and Producer raised in Brooklyn, NY, and now based in Los Angeles. She is the CEO of Invisible Imagery Films, LLC, with over a decade of experience across roles including Camera Operator, 1st AD, Editor, and Assistant Stage Manager. Her recent sitcom pilot First & Last was selected by 10 international film festivals and honored by the Golden Thesis Film Festival. A former hip-hop artist known as Sitcomlife, Kareen now brings her dynamic talents to The Road to Freedom as Assistant Stage Manager.
