Sancta Susanna at Source/Filter Music Collective

Source/Filter Music Collective presents the West Coast premiere of Paul Hindemith's Sancta Susanna, an immersive horror opera taking place on October 24th and 25th, 2024, inside the historic Lincoln Avenue Church at Heritage Square Museum. The production depicts Sister Susanna's struggle with ominous visions in a secluded convent, leading her to uncover dark secrets. Featuring an "evil nun chorus" performing works by composers such as Benjamin Britten and Hildegard von Bingen, the event culminates in a Halloween dance party with a live DJ.
