Through humor, storytelling, and powerful character work, actor and co-writer Sidney Edwards brings to life the relentless women whose experiences shaped the fabric of her own identity. Set in the early 2000s at Seaboard Coates Elementary School in rural North Carolina, the story follows young Sidney as she sits at the meeting of two Edwards families, linked by marriage.
Everywhere Sidney looks, there is a Ms. Edwards to be found, all different from one another, yet each an educator in her own right. This production serves as a beautiful and charming love letter to the teachers and staff who brave the educational system. As Sidney navigates family, community, and faith, she discovers she has a lot to learn.
