Technology – humanity’s greatest achievement, or our fiercest enemy? Don’t miss PlayGround’s first ever night of Sci-Fi as our playwrights tackle the big existential questions about humankind’s relationship to our creations. Monday Night PlayGround: Sci-Fi will take place on Monday, March 10 at 7pm PT, in-person at The Broadwater Second Stage and simulcast. PlayGround-LA’s sister companies, PlayGround, PlayGround NY, and PlayGround CH will present their own interpretations of this theme throughout the month. As part of PlayGround’s commitment to radical accessibility, Monday Night PlayGround is admission-free (donations gratefully accepted) for online reservations and day-of admission in-person. Advance in-person reservations do requite an admission free of $10. For the complete schedule or to reserve tickets, visit https://playground-la.org/monday.
Join PlayGround for a new round of Monday Night PlayGround, featuring original short plays all inspired by the prompt 'Origin Story', Monday, October 09, 7pm PT, live at Broadwater Second Stage and simulcast online. Get all the event information here!
Following the successful opening of Season 10 earlier this month, Los Angeles playwright incubator PlayGround-LA has recently announced the prompt for the next Monday Night PlayGround short play staged reading event. Thirty-six Los Angeles writers had just four-and-a-half days to generate their original scripts inspired by the prompt 'WHODUNNIT' as they vie for one of six slots in the second round of this year's Monday Night PlayGround staged reading series, presented live at The Broadwater Second Stage and simulcast online on November 8th at 7pm PT.
On the eve of the return to in-person theatre and PlayGround's expansion to New York, Los Angeles playwright incubator PlayGround-LA has chosen the prompt of 'rebirth' as inspiration for the opening Monday Night PlayGround of Season 10.
