LIVING/EDGE is a 50-minute solo dance-theater work created and performed by choreographer Adam Kerbel, blending dance, improvisation, and storytelling to examine what it means to remain fully alive after profound loss. The work was created in response to the sudden death of Kerbel's mother from pancreatic cancer, exploring horrific images, fond memories, play, and the ongoing practice of living through humor, physical risk, and discovery. Outside advisers Gene Farbe, Annie Peterson, and Paul Matteson contributed to the work, with musical contributions by Joshua Cabitac. The performance contains full nudity and mature themes, and is presented as a world premiere at the Daredevil Arts Festival.
