Independent Opera Company concludes its 14th season with L'Elisir d'Amore, a comic opera in two acts composed by Gaetano Donizetti, premiered in 1832 and celebrated for its warmth, wit, and lyrical beauty. The story follows Nemorino, a shy young villager in love with the wealthy Adina, who buys a supposed love potion from the traveling charlatan Dr. Dulcamara, leading to a series of misunderstandings and romantic rivalries before true love prevails. The production is fully staged with costumes and piano accompaniment, featuring Niko Murakami as Adina, Jacob Stucki as Nemorino, David Ingram as Belcore, Kelvin Li as Dulcamara, and Jessica Berns as Gianetta. Galina Barskaya serves as Music/Artistic Director, with stage direction by Liza Barskaya.
