Kate Hamill's Pride and Prejudice at Whitefire Theatre

Los Angeles, CA — Rotation Theatre Company (RTC) is thrilled to present its spring production of Kate Hamill’s Pride and Prejudice, based on the iconic novel by Jane Austen.

Rotation Theatre Company is committed to expanding opportunities for young artists through a unique model of creative rotation. By encouraging emerging performers, directors, and producers to take on new roles with every production, RTC opens doors that are too often closed to early-career creatives. Founded by young artists, for young artists, RTC merges theatre and film to spark innovation, expand opportunity, and redefine what’s possible on stage and beyond.

“We are examining this world, not recreating it,” said director Abby Rowland about the artistic process. “While we honor Regency silhouettes and social architecture, subtle modern elements remind us that the pressures of class, reputation, and romantic economics are not relics—they are ongoing.” RTC’s production focuses on the internal and societal commentary which revolves around the “game of love” both then and now.

Pride and Prejudice will run from Friday, May 8, 2026 through Sunday, May 31, 2026 at The Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, CA. Performances start at 8:00pm Friday/Saturday evenings and at 3:00pm on Sunday afternoons. (House opens 20min before showtime.)
