Godspell at Long Beach Playhouse

Godspell is a musical first produced in 1971 that tells the story of Jesus Christ according to the Gospel of Matthew, using parables, humor, and pathos through an eclectic blend of songs ranging from pop to vaudeville. It was the first show written by Stephen Schwartz, with a book by John Michael Tebelak. The 12-member cast includes Kenny Giles, Quinn Vann, Brittany Dakoske, Madison Cheramie, Chandler Van Allen, Morgan Elena, Julia Vira Weinstock, Celeste Moran, Eric Lazaro, David Ponce, Demetri Mack, and Carole Louise. The production is directed by Sonya Randall, with Rovin Jay serving as assistant director.
