Forever USA: American Stories Sealed in Time showcases three original monologues that share the human journey through the fabric of American culture. The characters Manny, Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler, and Sacagawea have a message to share, one that challenges us to grapple with the injustices in our society while celebrating its achievements.
Though these three distinct characters come from different places and periods in history, they are united by the emblems that have become enduring fixtures of the American story. With its tapistry of current events that highlights this country's diversity and the soul of young and old Americans, the show is enjoyable for both emerging adults and older audiences.
- Riding Low, Soaring High When high schooler Manny Rivera transforms his car into a lowrider, a custome car culture popularized by Chicanos, he sparks a collision of dreams and doubts in his East LA home. Inspired by current events, this heartfelt story celebrates the beauty of community, the power of art, and what it means to be truly seen.
- Among the Statues is a heartfelt monologue about about the women who light the way. Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler challenges challenges her listeners to value all lives.
- Sacagawea, Lewis, and Clark express the inspiring voice of Sacagawea in this powerful monologue that goes beyond her legendary journey with Lewis and Clark. This piece explores Sacagawea’s legacy as a mother, a symbol of self-awareness, and a bridge between cultures.
