After getting sick with COVID, Spencer can’t stop telling the truth. In DADDY ISSUES, one man turns therapy sessions into theatre as he invites the audience to witness a raw, darkly comedic unraveling of memory, identity, and fractured family relationships.
With only a chair and a door on stage, Spencer shifts between three versions of himself: his present self speaking to the audience, and his past self speaking to his therapist. What begins as confession becomes deep internal confrontation, as humour and vulnerability collide in real time.
DADDY ISSUES is a bold solo performance about what we inherit, what we suppress, and what happens when the stories we tell ourselves stop protecting us.
