Black Woman, Indeed at Willie Agee Playhouse

Black Woman, Indeed is an original solo theatrical work written and performed by Jada Suzanne Dixon exploring Black womanhood, survival, identity, belonging, and self-discovery. The piece began with a question Dixon posed to 25 Black women, whose varied responses revealed a chorus of lives shaped by endurance, adaptation, and the search for home. Through intimate storytelling, reflection, and theatricality, the work asks audiences to consider what Black women carry and what becomes possible when they put some of it down. It is presented as part of the 2nd Annual Un-Erasable Solo Festival.
