Julia Adam's A Midsummer Night's Dream is inspired by Shakespeare's beloved comedy, transporting audiences to a whimsical world where humans and magical beings collide, featuring lush sets and costumes and Felix Mendelssohn's score. Paul Taylor's Company B is set to the music of the Andrews Sisters, blending jitterbug, jazz, and modern dance into a nostalgic celebration of the World War II era. The program is completed by the company premiere of George Balanchine's Valse Fantaisie, a neoclassical masterpiece created for New York City Ballet in 1967, set to Mikhail Glinka's score.
