A 1 THEY/THEM SHOW at The Virgil

A 1 THEY/THEM SHOW is Emmy and Golden Globe winner Joey Soloway's first leap into stand-up. The deeply personal one-person comedy performance draws on family, Hollywood, gender, sex, Judaism, ambition and reinvention. The first half draws on Soloway's experience spending the first 50 years of their life as a woman, while the second half turns to the men, revealing inside stories from what Soloway calls the deepest wells of patriarchal privilege. Soloway, creator of Transparent and I Love Dick, assembled the show from material developed on Los Angeles comedy stages under aliases including Joe Solomon and Gnarlie Hose.
