Against the backdrop of the 2016 election, 6 Out of 10 traces a gay actor’s search for validation through various lovers, family ghosts, and the entertainment industry. Told through dynamic multimedia, eccentric characters and deeply personal monologues, this darkly comedic solo show explores trauma, shame and the cost of outsourcing self-worth.

Raised in the South and shaped by religious expectations and unresolved childhood trauma, McKinnon has spent his life trying to be “seen.” Through a whirlwind of relationships and auditions, he searches for validation in all of the wrong places.

6 out of 10 is a raw, theatrical journey through love, politics, trauma, and self-reclamation.
