Two dynamic artists join Christopher Lyndon-Gee and the Adelphi Symphony Orchestra in this remarkable program. Soyeon Kate Lee, winner of the prestigious 2010 Naumberg International Piano Competition, is the soloist in Benjamin Britten’s Piano Concerto in D, celebrating the centennial year of the composer’s birth. Renowned soprano and Adelphi faculty member Darla Diltz is the soloist in Henryk Górecki’s powerful Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs). The concert opens with Rimksy-Korsakov’s brilliant Russian Easter Festival Overture.

Adelphi To Celebrate United Nations With Global Concert
Adelphi University is helping the United Nations celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Academic Impact program and the 75th anniversary of its charter with a global concert featuring students, faculty and alumni from the University's Department of Music on Wednesday, November 18, at 7:30 p.m.
