Pianist and conductor Arie Vardi who fascinates music lovers with his television master lectures on classical music will lead a Haydn evening, the “father” of the classical symphony. Vardi will play the Piano Concerto in D on the Hammerklavier as in Haydn’s time. He will conduct one of Haydn`s bestknown works: Symphony no. 88 as well as the short, brilliant 1st Symphony by Prokofiev, which was composed in an attempt to emulate the style of Haydn and Mozart Symphonies.
