We are delighted to announce that Dublin Dance Festival will visit axis for the first time in May. One of the highlights of DDF at axis comes from our Dance Artist in Residence Philip Connaughton who has been developing new work and dancing with local groups over the past number of months. Mortuus est Philippus The sun rises and sets. One day, one story, one lifetime. A dance about before. A dance about love. Philip Connaughton premières his new solo work ‘Mortuus est Philippus’ and a duet by New York choreographer and mixed media artist, Jon Kinzel. The evening will kick off with a short performance by local dancers who have been taking part in a series of workshops by six national and international choreographers as part of Connaughton’s year long residency.
