The Summer Song Theater Festival is set to debut on August 24, 2024, at the Deluxe Theater in Houston, Texas, showcasing BIPOC composers and songwriters in a vibrant celebration of diverse musical storytelling. This inaugural festival, spearheaded by producer Stephen Hudson, features 30 artists and 90 original songs, aiming to emphasize the cultural richness of BIPOC narratives in musical theater. Featured composers include Alan Jeskin, Ethan Algazi, Rebecca Murillo, and Chinyere Obasi, among others, offering a unique platform for untapped voices in the industry.
