SYNOPSIS: Saying “I do” was the easy part – from the playwright of TWH audience favorite, The Legend of Georgia McBride this hilarious commentary on commitment is every bride's worst nightmare. Disaster after disaster follow her down the aisle, from brutally honest boozy speeches to a totally incompetent wedding planner and friends too preoccupied to help with the wreckage around them. A wildly funny play about love, relationship, expectations, and the courage it takes to find what truly makes us happy.

SEEKING:

DJ - 20s - Puerto Rican. He’s a DJ but much more. Stanford-educated free thinker and stoner. A principled man who marches to his own drummer. Oddball, but in a way that’s sexy when you get to know him.

RACHEL - 30s - Jewish. She’s the leader of the pack. High end successful wedding planner. Fun, but a bit traditional, practical. Not happy when she doesn’t get her way, but has a heart of gold under it all. Married to Charlie.

CHARLIE - 30s. A musician turned investment banker - so an artist’s soul- buried inside a guy who’s trying to make other people happy. He is a lover not a fighter, but smart enough to know when it’s time to give up. A good man. Married to Rachel.

SAMMY - 30s. The guy with the money. Truth teller - except about himself. Used to being in control and secretly flummoxed by his deep feelings for his partner, Jordan. Gay, brash, funny, hyper-sexual.

MISSY - early 20s - Jewish. A Paramus, NJ girl - Rachel’s cousin. Over her head and lost both in planning Zoey’s wedding and in her life. Naive, unorganized, panicky, sweet, young.

ZOEY - 30s- Jewish. The Bride. Traditional, adorable, madly in love. Might seem a little emotional and immature at first, but finds her center as the evening progresses and by the end is the most steady one in the group.
