[THE NARRATOR] 30s-40s. He/him. Latine. Baritone. 30s-40s. Our host. Charismatic, a clown, playful but cool, transforms on a dime, able to reveal portions of the world as he guides us through the story, has a personal connection to the narrative. He joins the band in addition to leading us through Reina’s journey, doubling as a few characters along the way. Note: Actors who play guitar are strongly encouraged to submit.
[ANTONIA/LEONA] 30s-40s. She/her. Latine. Mezzo. ANTONIA - an older woman who lives in El Salvador and has a daughter in the United States, beloved by the people of the town, fun, vibrant, and encouraging, a big personality. LEONA - a meek catholic nun from Guadalajara, kindhearted, gentle, but secretly the heart of a rockstar with big dreams, a slight flair for the dramatic.
