SEEKING:

MR. ISAIAH - Black male, late 20s, a teacher, relatable, an 'around the way' activist type - optimistic and hoping to make change in the lives of the young men he works with. Willing to fight for what he believes. A product of the system himself and working to change it from the inside.

MR. CARTWRIGHT - Black, male, 60s - a stern and blunt man, who sees the glass as half empty, jaded by years of rough work. He has a scar on his face. A heavy smoker. Looking forward to retirement. A man of status.

ANTOINE - Black, male, 18+ to play late teens - rough around the edges. Masculine in many of the ways that society expects but contains multitudes.

DEE - Black, becoming, 18+ to play late teens – They’re quick tongued and banjee cunt. Falls somewhere between extremely femme and survival- wear masculine. Out, proud, and will curse anyone out who tries it. They know who they are. Chill. Can step.

JAMAL - Afro-Latino, male, 18+ to play late teens - clean cut, and extremely bright. He’s like the cool kid. Sharp mind, and a sharp tongue. Comfortable with spoken word/ Rap.

BASHIR - Black, male, 18+ to play late teens – instigator; father with learning disabilities, family over everything.

KEVIN - Black, male, 18+ to play late teens - full of life, the kind of guy everyone wants to be. Comfortable with spoken word/Rap and poetry.

EDDIE - Dominican male, 18+ to play late teens - loud, sloppy, and constantly drunk; he sleeps a lot. Uses liquor to self-medicate. Strong comedic skills. Comfortable with rap and spoken word. (THIS ROLE IS CAST).
