Breakdown

Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hair Fairy Tale:

Rapunzel: the damsel. Soprano with a strong low – mid range, much like a Disney Princess.

Lady Za Za: the evil queen. Bigger than life – her big solo is a country western-style ballad.

Socrates: the witty old dragon who has lost his poof. Character voice: wise, philosophical sound.

Sir Roderick: the young, strong leading man but also at times sweet/whimsical.

Edgar: the hairdressing sidekick. Bright, energetic and fun voice.

Gypsy Woman: helps with the quest. Character voice – more of a mezzo sound.

Adult Ensemble

Winnie the Pooh:

Winnie the Pooh: the friendly, thoughtful, and sometimes insightful main character.

Rabbit: fancies himself the smartest animal in the Hundred Acre Wood.

Eeyore: the ever-glum donkey.

Kanga: the doting mother of Roo.

Tigger: the exhuberant, trouble-making tiger.

Owl: the stuffy & talkative mentor of others.
