SEEKING:

[JACKSON] 11-12-years-old, Any ethnicity, Male, Tenor pre-vocal change (E3-B4). After punching his bullying classmate, Jackson stages a musical at school to redeem himself, and ultimately heal his relationship with his family. Energetic, inventive, witty. A STAR with stamina. Has strong comedic timing and movement ability.

[EMMA] mid-30s, Any ethnicity, Female, Alto (G3-C5). A gentle, but strong LA mom to Lucy and Jackson, she is constantly on the move. While invested in her work, there is nothing she loves more than her husband and two kids. Grounded, kind, practical. Has strong comedic timing and movement ability.

[MS. FRISS] mid-20s, Any ethnicity, Female, Mezzo with Belt (G3-E5). Everyone’s favorite teacher, she is a ball of light. While she is fun, nothing is more important to her than the safety and well-being of her students. Doubles as EMMA in the show within the show. Has strong comedic timing and movement ability.

[TYLER] 11-13-years-old, Any ethnicity, Male, Tenor (G3-G4). The school bully, who teases anything and anyone who looks and sounds different from him. He clearly has issues of his own.

[DANIEL/MR. TORRES SWING] mid-30s, Any ethnicity, Male, Tenor (C3-G4). [DANIEL] is a handsome, shy, and overprotective LA musician Dad. He is anxious about his daughter, Lucy’s seizures and as of late, the lack of connection with his son, Jackson. [MR. TORRES] is a funny, animated, and gifted musician, who works as a music teacher at Jackson’s school. Doubles as DANIEL in the show within the show. Has strong comedic timing and movement ability.

[LUCY/COCO SWING] 10-12-years-old, Any ethnicity, Female, Alto (A3-C5). [LUCY] She is an open hearted, free spirit with epilepsy who is also neurodivergent. She has a strong connection to her brother, Jackson. [COCO] A fully realized middle school feminist, she is as loyal as they come. She definitely has a “Type A” personality. Doubles as LUCY in the show within the show. Has strong comedic timing and movement ability.

[FEMALE ADULT SWING] mid-30s, Any ethnicity, Female, Mezzo with Belt (G3-E5). [EMMA] is a gentle, but strong LA mom to Lucy and Jackson, she is constantly on the move.
